Uniform

Please be aware that from September 2023 there will be some small changes to uniform. Straight skirts will not be permitted, leggings will not be permitted and all Year 7 students will need a school sports jacket and school tracksuit bottoms. The School hooded sweatshirt will not be permitted from September 2024.

How to Place a Uniform Order

Please click the School Colours Direct logo. This takes you to the School Colours Direct website, where you will need to create an account the first time you order. Subsequently, you can log in as a returning customer. You will then be able to order the usual range of school items.  

Delivery

Delivery information is available on the Schools Colours Direct web shop; just click on ‘Delivery and Returns’ in the footer area.

Uniform Information

All Students should be wearing the correct uniform both in school and on the journey to and from school. Blazers should be worn around school and as students enter and leave lessons. Shirts should be tucked in and skirts should be worn without modification. Students should take pride in wearing their uniform and remember that they are ambassadors for the school when they are seen wearing it.

  • Writhlington-branded rugby shirt (for rugby lessons only)

  • Football boots: metal-studded boots for grass. Only trainers/moulded studs for Astro (for football and rugby lessons only)
  • Mouth guard and shin pads (football, rugby and hockey lessons)

 

General Information

For all PE and Games activities, students with long hair should keep their hair off their face using ribbons, hair ties or hair clips.

It is strongly recommended that students wear a gum shield for hockey and rugby.

Students will only be excused from PE or Games lessons on receipt of a signed note from their parent/carer or a medical note. Students who are excused PE or Games are expected to bring and change into the correct uniform. They will take a full part in the lesson, acting as a coach, leader or official.
