At Writhlington we believe in the equal right of every child to the best possible education, and we provide the facilities, curriculum and expertise to ensure every child's talents are nurtured. Our innovative 'Pathways' curriculum ensures that every student follows courses that offer the right level of challenge. The school has a record of zero NEETS (not in education, employment or training). Every child will leave Writhlington with their next step secure.

Writhlington's results are amongst the highest in the country. This year 2011 year 11 achieved 97% 5A*-C, 67% %A*-C (including English & Maths), 44% 5A*-A.

Our Post-16 students leave Writhlington with an average of three A-grades and progress to prestigious universities and apprenticeships. We have unrivalled facilities in every area of the school. In addition to the £26 million main school building opened in 2010, we completed a brand new Post-16 Centre in 2011.
