Car Sharing

As part of Writhlington School's travel plan we would like to help parents organise car sharing to get their children to and from school. Not only will this help to ease congestion at the school at the start and end of the day but it is also better for the environment. Best of all it is better for your bank balance as you can split the cost of the fuel!

To make arranging car sharing easier we have a form below for you to submit your details so we can contact you if there is anyone else in your area that wants to car share.

Writhlington School Bus Code

1. Every student at the school is entitled to travel in safety.
2. Every student is entitled to travel free from harassment or bullying.
3. Every student is entitled to travel in relative peace.

Any student who disregards these three simple rules will have to make separate arrangements for journeys to and from school.

You will be asked to sign your agreement to this code.

Travel Plan

Writhlington School Travel Plan is a document the school has produced using information collected from parents, students and staff on their mode of transport to and from school and any changes they would like to see.

The aims of the document are to:

• Improve travel information to staff, pupils, parents and visitors who work or visit our school.
• Encourage and improve safe travel for pupils by providing more training and learning opportunities.
• Encourage sustainable modes of transport to and from school. Reduce car journeys to and from school.
