The school is the hub of an extended service providing opportunities for all local schools and community. Together with local primary schools, we form Writhlington Community Learning Federation. Together we are able to provide a range of services and activities, often beyond the school day, to help meet the needs of children and their families. Students can take part in a range of activities and study support which which will help them learn new skills. Computer study centres in outlying villages provide ICT access for students during the evenings to complete coursework and research homework topics. Parents and adults in the community can benefit from the facilities provided by schools through our Adult Community Learning programme, with courses in ICT, Arts and Crafts and other leisure interests. Courses are held at Writhlington School. For those who require something more physical we have excellent links with the Writhlington Sports Centre who have a full programme of sport and fitness activities. The school offers its facilities to the local business community. With impressive state of the art ICT training rooms, we have tailor-made training programmes suited to the needs of local businesses. We offer conferencing and meeting facilities which can accommodate large numbers.
