Writhlington is a high achieving school with Business and Enterprise and Applied Learning specialisms. The school has been oversubscribed for the last five years and has 1356 students aged 11-18 on roll. Ofsted considers Writhlington to be a ‘good school with many outstanding features including its curriculum and Sixth Form (2007).

Due to a successful One School Pathfinder bid we will be moving into a new school building in March 2010 and an Applied Learning Centre in January 2011.

DIGITAL DESIGNER

£ 24,402 - £26,784 (37 hours per week, all year round)

In this role you will design, produce and integrate high quality, interactive SCORM compliant learning materials for the school's VLE. You will work closely with teaching staff to transform ideas into effective resources. Various software packages will be used to achieve this (Adobe Flash and Actionscript 2 or 3, XML, XTML SCORM, standard Apple Mac software iWork, iLife). This post is not a purely technical role, although technical excellence will be a necessary component. You will also need to be highly creative, have the ability to enthuse and be prepared to promote the use of digital resources in the school.
